The EXXFIRE fire extinguishing system provides optimal protection against IT crashes, fires and power failures, as fires are detected and extinguished as soon as they occur.
We can thus offer an effective and reliable fire extinguishing system based on EXXFIRE’s non-pressurised gas storage technology Cool Gas Generator.
The gas generator was originally developed under the stringent safety and operational security requirements of the space industry and – together with the safe container, effective aspiration detection and specially developed gas nozzle – provides an extremely effective and reliable fire extinguishing solution for IT and electrical installations.
At the same time, detection and extinguishing are carried out close to the point of ignition, minimising damage and consequential damage from the fire.
The system is available in three sizes for safeguarding objects in sizes of 1.5 m3, 3 m3 or 4.5 m3.

Robust space technology
EXXFIRE’s Cool Gas Generator is a revolution in gas storage. The extinguishing chemicals are stored in solid, stable form in the leakproof container, which is IP67 watertight both before and after discharge.
The chemical components remain inside the container upon activation, and only the extinguishing agent (nitrogen) is released. The used generator is recycled as chemical waste.
Pressurised nitrogen
Depending on the size of the object to be safeguarded, 1, 2 or 3 Cool Gas Generators are used, each capable of producing 750 nL or 0.9 kg. Nitrogen at ambient temperature.
The gas is released at low pressure and low noise levels, so the extinguishing does not affect the performance of the IT equipment.
This type of gas container is maintenance-free with a service life of 10 years.
Aspiration detection
The three optical sensors are the most sensitive smoke detectors on the market.
An electric fan continuously blows air from the protected object past the sensors so that smoke development is detected as quickly as possible, and Votexx software compiles the data from each sensor and optimises these data inputs for effective false alarm prevention.
3 potential-free contacts
The EXXFIRE system has three potential-free contacts for the FAULT, PRE-ALARM and ALARM modes. These relays can be hardwired to any type of control system or fire alarm panel.
Environmentally-friendly fire extinguishing system
The use of nitrogen as an extinguishing agent means that using the system does not affect the ozone layer and global warming, and that no corrosive residues need to be removed after discharge.
These properties are in high demand in fire protection for IT and electrical equipment.
Quick installation
The EXXFIRE system can be installed inside or on top of the object being safeguarded. Two different installation packages are available, with mounting plate and bracket for mounting in a 19-inch server rack.
Each package also includes aspiration detection nozzle, gas tube, couplings and cord straps.
