Where can fires occur?
All kinds of combustible materials, dry or liquid, solid or gas, pose a fire hazard if the conditions are right.
There is a risk of fire in a wide range of industries, as many modern production plants use heavy processing and transport systems in which ignition sources such as sparks, embers or overheating can occur and ignite combustible materials, dust, fuels and lubricants, etc.
In modern production plants, raw materials and products are often moved quickly and automatically from storage facilities via conveyor belts and through advanced processing plants. This means that fires can quickly transfer and spread to other areas of operation where additional raw materials, production equipment or finished products can be ignited.
