The system not only sounds an alarm in emergency situations when a temperature approaches a critical level, but also sounds an alarm if gradual weaknesses occur in storage containers or transport units that could eventually lead to accidents.
We design a monitoring solution for each customer, using the exact camera types, protection types and alarm types that provide optimal safety in each context.

SAFETIS is based on three core functions:
1. System configuration
The IR cameras are installed and assigned their monitoring zone (viewing radius) using the SAFETIS software. This is based on the conditions in each area, e.g. location, need for pan/tilt mounting, temperature limits for alarm/warning, etc.
Each zone is individually configured and the settings are stored in the monitoring plan for continuous evaluation.
The pan/tilt system means that one infrared camera can cover several zones, as it can be moved in several different positions.
2. Monitoring
The control of all components (infrared cameras, pan/tilt units, etc.) is handled around the clock by the SAFETIS software.
This includes:
- Evaluation of the thermal images captured by each camera
- Evaluation of the condition of each zone
- Controlling recordings/adjusting pan/tilt units
- Archiving images and results
- Trend analysis
- Automatic self-test/self-validation of the system
- Initiation of output signals (alarms, warnings, system status, etc.)
3. Alarms/signals
If SAFETIS detects a critical temperature, the relevant signal is triggered via the output interface (digital I/O, OPC or Modbus-TCP). This initiates countermeasures – such as various forms of extinguishing – automatically and with very high accuracy.
The alarm zone is also highlighted on the map view, and a live image of the zone is displayed on the main screen. This allows the cause and severity of the alarm to be identified quickly and accurately, and further extinguishing measures to be initiated with a high degree of accuracy. It is also possible to set the system to automatically generate a report of relevant data in the event of an alarm.
SAFETIS is also able to perform “template matching”, which allows the system to identify moving objects (e.g. a hot vehicle passing by) or blur irrelevant areas in the camera zone, thereby preventing false alarms.
