Sensors in extreme environments are exposed to high levels of heat, cold and dirt. To safeguard sensor reliability and service life, Nextech offers tailored accessories to optimise sensor functionality in these areas.
On this page you can also read about the latest multi-touch control consoles from GreCon, as well as the new BS 7 NET server technology, which makes it possible to install a large number of local control consoles connected to a number of BS 7 NET servers and associated computers in central locations in the organisation.
We offer the following accessories for GreCon spark extinguishing systems:
Sensor accessories – Extra protection against dirt
If there is a risk of accumulation of dirt or other deposits on the sensors, special air cleaning adapters can be used to increase the reliability of detection and extend the cleaning intervals.
Sensor accessories – Light penetration
Light penetration – whether artificial light or daylight – can have a negative impact on the detection of the infrared radiation from the ignition sources. In such cases, slit apertures are used to prevent false alarms and optimise detection performance.
Sensor accessories – Anti-freeze protection for extinguishing devices
Heat tape and insulating material can be used to protect water pipes and extinguishing units from freezing in areas where they are exposed to low temperatures. We offer specially designed, easy-to-maintain insulating jackets for the extinguishing units.
Control panels – Multi-Touch panels for quick and easy operation of spark extinguishing systems
GreCon’s 10" colour display with multi-touch function makes it quick and easy for employees to access the required information from different parts of the system. Information is presented in a clear and comprehensible way, so employees always have easy access to the information they need.
The panels provide access to e.g.:
- Data on current alarms
- Data on development over time
- Visualisation via complete flow charts
- Zoom function that makes it easy to look closer at areas with alarms
- Direct selection of required information using clear symbols
- Ability to store instructions and operating manuals so they are always available.
NB: If the company already has a GreCon control console, the new, user-friendly multi-touch panels could in many cases replace it.
Control panels – Easy and precise operation using BS 7 NET network server
The BS 7 NET network technology allows the space-saving control consoles of the CC 7000 and CC 5000 series to be installed locally in the organisation, for example in control rooms close to production. This makes it possible to install control consoles in relevant locations where employees may need to access the system quickly in the event of an alarm, for example, while also providing easy access for maintenance.
With BS 7 NET, employees can:
- confirm that alarms are seen and registered
- manage alarm deactivation
- gather all information and communication with the control consoles and operating units that may be installed in different parts of production
- get a quick overview of the frequency of alarms
- register all activity on control consoles
- get an easy overview of danger zones and alarms, and whether intervention is needed
- exchange data with other control systems via gateways to Profibus, Profinet or DeviceNet.
All data from the systems are also accessible through the connected computers of relevant employees in the company.
